Place of Discovery at Centennial Park Library
Libraries are awesome. As a family, we love supporting our local library, wherever that may be. Getting to work for a library district as progressive and awesome as High Plains Library District, based in Greeley, Weld County, Colorado, was icing on the cake.
In one of the branch libraries, local librarians were working hard on a create-space for young makers and doers. The create space featured a Lulzbot 3D printer, audio recording software, video editing software with a green screen, and more. The create-space was located in Centennial Park Library on 23rd Avenue in Greeley and it was called the Place of Discovery – POD for short. To bolster the launch of the space and engage a wider audience, it needed a small identity for promotional materials that were used in conjunction with POD events.
It was a pleasure to work on this logo and give the POD a creative identity that fit with what it was trying to accomplish. Here, you will see the modular logo I designed. What could be used as a complete piece could also be taken apart, piece by piece, down to just an icon, should the need present itself. It proved itself to be a very versatile logo and made application a joy to use. You will see an example of the launch poster in my portfolio as well.
